Metrosexual

*Friday, 28th December 2007*

No, I'm not talking or discussing about the neologism that happened to most men around the globe, I'm talking about a movie here (Gang chanee gap ee-aep). Well, for those who haven't watch it, I don't mean to spoil the plot. Treat it as an introduction :P

Clockwise from top right: Fyne, Pat, Pang, Pom and Nim.

Four female friends got together for lunch one day when their fifth friend announce that she's gonna get married with his boyfriend of three months. The boyfriend, Kong is well-groomed (er, resembles Alexander), enjoys cooking (me), loves ice cream with cherry (ice cream = me, cherry = Defiant) a shopping enthusiast (this sounds just like Api) and home decorating (Savante, obviously).

Pom claimed that she saw Kong earlier at a male model beauty pageant and she saw him embracing another man backstage, so this raise the suspicions among the four friends that Pang is actually going to marry a gay man instead of a metrosexual man. But in order to confirm their belief, they need proof. I shall let you imagine the hilarious thing that happened throughout their "investigations". :P

Braving The Rain

*Thursday, 27th December 2007*

As some of you knew, I'm having a bad sore throat since Malacca trip and it got worse yesterday. I took 3 Strepsils Extra Strong lozenges but not helping at all. So after work, I went back home, showered and decided to go see the doctor. That's when the sky started to roar, wind howling and before long, followed by a heavy downpour.

As the pain was unbearable and I still have to attend the food bloggers's gathering tomorrow, I grabbed my umbrella, house keys and off I went to the other side of the neighbourhood. Dinner was not in my mind that time.

It's been a very very long time since I braved the rain, I must say. When I was still in secondary school, I used to walked home after got down from the bus, in the rain as the bus stopped too far from my house. Boys are skeptical about their appearance, so we don't bring umbrella with us in the school bag.

Imagine this.

As you braved the rain with your small umbrella (constantly shaking due to the wind), the rain splashes and wet half of your cargo pants. Wind blewing furiously, bringing rain droplets to your skin and face. Some areas of the street were partially submerged in water and when you stepped on them, your feet and sandals all wet and slimey. It's cold. Very cold.

rain

At the moment, I somehow wished that I'm in a car instead of walking. I wished that my shelter for the moment is a car, not an umbrella. I wished that there's someone I loved be there for me when I'm sick. And I wished that he'll embraced me with his warm, strong arms as he hugged me to sleep when I'm sick.

Can't imagine that? Try this. Go outside your house while raining heavily with a small umbrella and stand there for 15 minutes. Wear your simplest clothes and pants.

I'm under medication now, hope that it'll get better by tomorrow.

Shall back to work. Have a nice day ahead.

Christmas Came Early In Malacca

*Thursday, 27th December 2007*

When a few people grouped together, plans bloomed. That's how we came out with the Secret Santa plan (Christmas pressie exchange). But just to exchange gifts without a party, how could that be possible!

So, another plan came up - to celebrate Christmas earlier at Savante's house in Malacca. His dearest mom and sister-in-law prepares something different than the usual turkey meal - BBQ. It's gonna be a hot Christmas.

The Amazing Race Malacca

The seven of us in 2 cars. It's a 2 hour drive to south (or is it southwest actually?) so we entertained ourselves with mini karaoke session on Enchanted soundtracks. No idea what the rest in the other car did though. Maybe a quick orgy? :P

Welcome to Malacca

Reached Savante's place, threw our bags in one room and took a short break. Then, the jobs were given out - to pick some pork from another place, start the fire, babysit the niece and the list goes on.

Sister-in-law in action.
"Lemme show you how it's done, boys! Fan it, move faster!"

And start the sizzling part. Bring the food on!

After dinner, time for some light exercise. Twister game, that's it.

Photobucket
Mutants ready for action.

Photobucket
And the entanglement begins.
"Poooh, you don't fart here, you hear!"

What a mess :P

Tired from all the action, we took a small space by the window to ourselves for a little intimate chat and Baileys + red wine servings with these decorations around us...

The next day, presents were handed all around and glad that everyone got their favourite gifts. A quick shower and we're off for lunch, followed by a short walk at the infamous Jonker Street.

I think I had too much food and while on the way back, we stopped by the rest area and I went to the toilet, threw up. Felt much better after that.

Malacca, I shall come again!

What A 'Good' Christmas...

*Wednesday, 26th December 2006*

Sorry for the lack of updates lately.

First of all, Merry Christmas everyone! How did you spent your Christmas? For me, I had a great time in Melaka last week (will blog about that later on) with the Brotherhood but working on Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve, I went out with two of my Ipoh friends to Bukit Bintang area and also with a friend of theirs. But I tell you, Ipoh is really really a small place where you mention a name, you'll get to heard plenty of stories about that guy.

The friend of theirs... is my godbrother. The guy whom I used to take pictures and play with when we're small. His mom and my mom are colleagues, and they used to work together at a tailor shop in Ipoh.

BluEd: You know him? *pointing to me*
CY: Look so familiar...
Azzuro Hyperion: Me lah! Jason!
CY: O M G. Ok, keep secret from my mom ya.
Azzuro Hyperion: LOL. Then you keep mine too ya.
BluEd & Imag: *speechless*

That's my godbrother.

Apparently, I feel that his taste in guys is almost similar as mine (Yay, can spy on guys with him next time). I took a pic of a tall, macho guy outside Pavilion that night (on his request of course :P ). Shall post it up soon, so stay tuned.

And on 25th itself, I went to Bangsar for lunch with the floggers which turns out to be bad... the food are too salty. I was craving for water after the meal so we went to KTZ for drinks and then I took bus to Sunway Pyramid to meet up with the Ipoh guys. The weather's so hot and I'm bushed. Managed to grab 2 present for the orphan for Friday's party but I'm really really tired. My sore throat worsen at the same time and it's so painful till I can't sleep well last night.

Today, back to work. Full day work. Luckily the swollen part subsided a bit. Hope it'll be better by Friday.

And what if I never kiss your lips again
Or feel the touch of your sweet embrace
How would I ever go on
Without you there's no place to belong

Well someday love is gonna lead you back to me
But 'til it does I'll have an empty heart
So I'll just have to believe
Somewhere out there you thinking of me

CHORUS:
'Til the day I'll let you go
'Til we say our next hello
It's not goodbye
'Til I see you again
I'll be right here rememberin' when
And if time is on our side
There will be no tears to cry
On down the road
There is one thing I can't deny
It's not goodbye

You'd think I'd be strong enough to make it through
And rise above when the rain falls down
But it's so hard to be strong
When you've been missin' somebody so long

It's just a matter of time I'm sure
But time takes time and I can't hold on
So won't you try as hard as you can
To put my broken heart together again

CHORUS

Hey hey
It's not goodbye

CHORUS

I Want A Dæmon

Inspired by the movie, The Golden Compass, I went to the offical website to take the test.
Meet Pelagia, the raven.
Well, I do expect something that can fly though. :P
