Hottie No. 2 : Channing Tatum

I first heard the name Channing Tatum was from the dance/romance movie called Step Up. Borned on 26th April 1980, he began his career as fashion model and then stepped into acting roles. His notable roles include Duke Orsino in She's The Man and Tyler Gage in Step Up. He was also auditioned for Gambit in X-Men: The Last Stand but was not cast as the character was eventually removed from the film.

65

*Thursday, 26th July 2007*

Weekend is the only thing I'm looking forward every day. However, due to lack of "facilities", I'm not too keen to go out unless there's some special event such as floggers gathering or foodcrawl activities. You know how bad the stupid "human jam" is on weekends.

So, I was at Wisma Central with Alvin on Saturday noon for haircut and late (very late) lunch at Petaling Street. After that, as I was going to board train to go home, I sms-ed J, O and WMW whether thay have plan for the night. And all of them replied "Yes!"

But J's reply is out of the ordinary.

J: "If the party here ends early, you wanna go to chubby pub?"
Me: "The one you mentioned before? 65?"
J: "Yeah, behind Jusco Maluri. Want?"
Me: (Oh well, since I'm free) "Okie, see you later then." :)
J: "Bye!"

*Fast forward to 11pm*

Seriously, I've never been to any chubby pub as I'm not any chubchaser. He told me to expect a crowd of "big size mens"... Now does that mean a bad sign? But who cares, if I'm the only rose among the thorns, I might have been able to attract someone to come and buy me drinks, isn't it? :P

The place, Cafe@65 turns out pretty nice and not so noisy as discos out there. Although mostly chubs there (no eye candy for me), but the people there are quite friendly and have good voice, I must say.

Thanks to J for the lovely night, muak! Hope your boyfriend didn't see this! :P

Sleep Disorder

*Wednesday, 25th July 2007*

Man, they're back again. I meant my insomnia. Last week, I'm starting to have difficulties to sleep and even I was able to close my eyes, I find myself awoke almost every hour after that. Talking about blinking your sleepy eyes in the dark...

I first experienced a terrible sleeping disorder aka insomnia early this year after broke up with G. I was unable to get to close my eyes every night for about 2 months, despite that I know I'm damn sleepy and tired.

Expect to see darker circles under my eyes every morning... and starting to get sleepy now while I'm typing this.

Something Fishy

*Monday, 23rd July 2007*

I love fish. Not that I like to eat them, but keep them. I only like certain type of fishes; small, colourful, freshwater type such as neon tetra, swordtails and lemon tetra.

When I start keeping fish, my tank was only measuring about 40cm long and 25cm width. I was in secondary school that time and a tank with that size is considered big for me. Initially, I start to kept zebra danios, goldfishes, guppies, gouramis and so on but my favourites remain in the Tetra or Characidae family.

When I went back home last 2 weeks ago, my brother did beautify my tank which now is already changed to a 2 metre long tank. When I first get the tank, I also get the sand, pebbles, boulders and artificial water plants as I like to make my babies comfortable to their new home. Fish are subjected to shock and pressure when placed in an empty tank and therefore, get sick and die easily.

Why artificial plants and not the real water weeds which is popular among aquarists now? Cos the maintenance cost is an issue to me. Water plants are quite expensive depending on their size and availability. And in order to kept them healthy, you'll need to add carbon dioxide (CO2), fertilisers (categorised in different types of mineral compund) and a better water filtration system.

Artifial plants are easier to take care of. They do not grow (no trimming needed), and the leaves do not brown. No fertilisers needed, no carbon dioxide needed. Save me a lot of money! :P

Hottie No. 1 : Daniel Henney

Since that I don't have much thing to write about, how about some doses of hotties to feast our eyes on? :D
*Prepare tissues to wipe drools, just in case...*

A flogger introduced me to Daniel Henney through a movie called Seducing Mr. Perfect or Seducing Mr. Robin when I stayed a night at her house 2 months ago. She was a die-hard fan of Daniel and believe me, she actually recorded the movie from Astro and been re-watch it ever since! Hahhahah... *Sis, in case you're reading this, don't smack me ya.*

Seducing Mr. Perfect Promotional Poster. Starring Daniel Henney as Robin Heiden and Uhm Jung-hwa as Min-joon.

Synopsis on the movie: "Min-joon (Uhm Jung-hwa) is a believer in true love and always very dedicated to her current boyfriend. However, men always break up with her - her latest boyfriend ends their relationship on her birthday. Distracted by the latest break-up, she bumps into a car and a man steps out of it - who turns out to be her new boss, Robin Heiden (Daniel Henney). Heiden has very clear ideas about a relationship and love: both are a game of power and Min-Joon seeks advice from him, as she doesn't want to get dumped again. However, when she starts to treat men like Heiden treats women, she realizes that she prefers her older behaviour, even if that means that she gets dumped again; she doesn't see love as a game of power and never will. Heiden, who has to deal with his own heartbreak, as he loved a woman so much that she had to shoot him to get the message across that she wasn't interested in him, starts to soften at Min-joon's attitude towards life. He eventually falls in love with her and both get into a real relationship and a happy ending of their own."

Watching him in action certainly makes me understand why sis gone nuts on him. He's talented (he was a model before taking on movie role), tall (about 6' 2''!), good looking no doubt and he's from mixed parentage of American and Korean.

Boring Job

*Thursday, 19th July 2007*

Things are getting messy at office. I'm starting to get really blur about my work, unable to focus and slow in catching up which causes piles of backload waiting to be settle for the past few days.

And for some reasons, I really HATE to make or receive phone calls!

Not forget to mention about those stupid guys at the counter. Once I'm there to collect documents, they'll start to making jokes out of me silently and laugh like monkeys screaming after that. #&*%%&@#&(!~+\

Feeling completely tense at work. Can I quit?

Scribble, Scribble...

*Thursday, 19th July 2007*

There's a small scar on my forehead, caused when I was rushing to leave the office last Tuesday for dinner at SS2 and accidentally banged my head on the TV set. Some genius I am. Didn't notice it was bleeding till I rub it.

Quickly ran to the main street to get a cab to Maluri LRT station, as I promised a flogger (food blogger) that I'll meet her at Taman Bahagia LRT station by 6.45pm. And it's already 6.10pm. Luckily a friendly cab driver passed by without much waiting.

Train rides from Masjid Jamek was horrendous as the crowds were simply... huge. The worse thing was, there were two Indians (probably foreigner workers) on my left and right, so you can imagine how many times I tried to turn my head away when they raised their arms to grab the pole.

Met up with my friend at 7.10pm (finally), was late for 10 minutes for the dinner. Everyone else have already arrived, waiting. We hesitantly took out our cameras and start our "duty". My eyes practically popped out after I read the menu. "We're gonna have all these tonight??" "Yeah, surprised, isn't it?" replied the others. The first course of our meal arrived not long after that... Weee! Stomach was already rumbling.

Why did I show such reaction? Cos that was freaking a lot of food for a free dinner, that's it. Yep, complimentary dinner at New Formosa Restaurant by the owner itself. The conditions: We gotta write a review about the restaurant and the food.

By now, you probably know that I'm a flogger too. Maybe not...

Dinner was fantastic, really. Most of the dishes were simply wonderful. And when there's floggers gather around, there's laughter. Great free food, great companions - what else could we ask for? All these made me think that it's worth it to brave all the jams to get here.

Trip Back Home

*Tuesday, 17th July 2007*

I promised my mom that I'll be back home once a month. And I should have did that earlier this month (6th July) but bus tickets were sold out. Left me with no option, I bought my tickets for the following week.

There was a severe traffic jam which extended for about a kilometre while the bus approaching Tanjung Malim for some unknown reasons.

The first familiar sight as the bus left the toll plaza were car plates started with the alphabet "A". Latest combination letters was AGC. When I left a month earlier, it was AGB.

Ipoh doesn't change much. Probably changing, but in a very slow pace. So slow, one could never realise it. But there's things changed at home.

My aquarium, which I have abandoned after I left, was full of life again, thanks to my brother. And then, I notice a packet of medic on the cabinet. I flipped it and saw dad's name on it. One for hypertension and another for cholesterol.

........

Tummy doesn't feel like wanna have any food but I insist to have a late dipper (combine dinner and supper, you get dipper!) followed by shower. Then I took out a black bag containing my PS2. Both the bag and PS2 were presents from G. Dusts gathered. I wipe it. Still dusty. Wipe again. Still dusty... Duh...
Anyway, I stayed till around 3am that night, trying to finish my "mission" in Lord of The Rings: The Third Age.

I was at home the next day, didn't go anywhere. Saturday is still a working day for most of the companies here, unlike KL. Re-play (re-continue actually) the game Devil May Cry 2 and got stucked half way. Disc scratched. Threw it aside and re-play (re-continue actually) Final Fantasty XII. Stopped half way few months ago after getting fed-up with the new battle system, it's too complicated for a lazy gamer like me. But this time, I find it much better. Did I became smarter or my brain cells starting to working properly after I moved to KL? Supposed to meet Jeffrey, Eddie and the rest that night but none gave me a call.

Went out for lunch with Shim, Vincent and others on Sunday noon. A rather bad lunch though. Back home, mom prepared some things for me to bring back to KL. Two sardine buns, one tub of "frosted ginseng roots" and a small bottle of Ribena concentrate. And on top of it, I threw in a few shirts. Luckily I've brought my luggage bag with me. *grin*

Dad drop me at the station around 6.20pm. Farewell, Ipoh. See you next month. :)

Born First

*Friday, 13th July 2007*

Been re-watching the Japanese anime (animation), Bleach for these few nights as there's no plan of going out. Somehow, I realised that other than picture editing, PC gaming and listening to my favourite tunes on my mp3 player... I've no other things to keep myself entertained at home after work.

There's few reasons why I'm so into Japanese anime:

  1. Characters' expressions. The Japanese portrayed the emotions, feeling and expressions very well within the characters in anime.
  2. The soundtracks.
  3. Storyline. Japanese are one type of a creative creatures.

A question, which I recently being asked by the main character in Bleach itself, Kurosaki Ichigo was like this; "Do you know why elder brothers born first?"

One would come out with all sorts of answers, I reckon... such as "Cos it's fate". Or maybe "It's God's will".

Aren't that sounds... too ordinary? Anyone can come up with a bit more creative answer?

Ichigo

"To protect the younger brother or sister who're being born later, dammit!"

Ping My Dar

*Thursday, 12nd July 2007*

I was always amazed that my fellow gay friends are able to detect another gays nearby. Me, on the other hand unable even feel even the slightest signal, which simply mean that my "sensor" is rusty and rendered unusable. "Sensor"... that's the term we called it in Ipoh.

When I first met Nigel and J, I never sense anything about them until they revealed their true identity to me which caused me a shock (no, should be double shock). And somehow, the term "ping your dar" or "ping my dar" was introduced to me. That derived from the word 'ping' (you know in the movies where the sound came out when enemies were detected in the radar?) and 'dar' from the word "gaydar" which means 'gay radar' (sensor laa).

During my recent visit to a restaurant at Bukit Bintang with Nigel and other bunch of floggers (food bloggers), there's this guy; age around 30s, in a tight T-shirt, muscular body came up to the 2nd floor where we were seated to the wash room. Nigel, along with his boyfriend (partner I'd say) quipped that guy "pinged their dar", which basically means... that guy's gay.

But until I learned how to feel the presence of another gay or how to see that person's gay, I guess the term of "ping my dar" will not came out from my lips.

Prologue To A Mutant's Life

*Wednesday, 11st July 2007*

In case you're wondering, this isn't the first time I blog... I have another blog somewhere else. But much things were floating in my mind recently, and I'm pretty sure that sooner or later, I'll forget about them if I don't note them down. Thus, I came up with My Little Sanctuary. Initially, I named it Mutant Sanctuary but I felt that it sounds real strange, so I decided to change it.

Now about those thoughts that came to me... I guess that happens when one started to live alone, away from family and work in a totally different environment - you'll get lots of 'why' and 'huh' most the time.

By the way, I'm not good in playing around with my grammar. Plus, I'm drop dead boring and quiet in real so you might find that my upcoming posts are pretty.... bland.

I shall continue this some other time. Until then, thanks for reading.
