What Do You Think?

*Wednesday, 28th November 2007*

Quick updates:

  1. Had a haircut last Saturday cos initial plan was going for karaoke on Sunday (cancelled last minute). I think I look good now :P

  2. Tense at work. I feel I'm acting as an submissive "ah long" (shark loan) now. Chase my clients to pay up everyday and I'll panic when they say "Tomorrow la".

  3. I think I put on weight. The new jeans I bought in BKK is tight!

I was on the way to dinner last night when the thought of Christmas, Defiant's ex and my ex appeared in my mind.

What's the connection between them?

Defiant mentioned to me before that he still visits his ex's parents occasionally. Which reminds me of my ex's parents. His parents knew about our relationship. Before we separated, I used to go over to his house for dinner and steamboat. When there's any birthday celebration (be his parents' or his nieces' birthday), they'll ask me to join along.

So I wondered... for those who experienced break ups before... do you still visit your ex's parents/family during festive season? Or will you do that? Are you prepared how to answer them if they ask what happened betweeen you and your ex? Will you feel uneasy? Will they treat you differently now? And the list goes on...

These questions kept appearing in my mind last night.

What do you think?

Trip To The LGBT Paradise

*Friday, 16th November 2007*

Warning: Long post with pictures.

Not a very enjoyable trip probably due to travel companions and long travel time between Bangkok and Pattaya. Stanley and I took the AirAsia bus from KL Sentral around 9.30am and reach LCCT around 10.45am. Our flight was at 1.40pm but delayed 25 minutes. Apparently, they changed their planes to Airbus 320 which I think not much difference from their old planes except the interior.

Nasser made his appearance on AirAsia menu :P

Ryan might be interested in him. Yeah, he's one of us.

Touched down at Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 2.45pm local time (now this is what I call an international airport, jam packed with passengers, taxis, luggages, bags, airport crew etc). The airport entrance/exit connects to a 3 storey highway if I'm not mistaken.

Reach hotel around 3pm something and we decided to take a nap while waiting to join the other two friends (a couple) from Ipoh for dinner.

Chinatown!

My boss mentioned about a good roadside restaurant in Chinatown and we found two, operating opposite to each another. Food was ok but the tomyam is too mild. We had seafood tomyam soup, kai lan with mushroom and crabmeat, 2 grilled crabs and oyster omelette (minus the flour). I like the omelette very much, big juicy fresh oysters enveloped in fluffy eggs. Put our local ones to shame.

Giant durians!

And we went to watch show after that. Now you know why I choose to stay at Silom. :P

User friendly BTS route.

The next day, shopping time! We had breakfast at hotel and took BTS (sky train) to the last station of Mo Chit to Chatuchak Weekend Market aka Flea Market.

*Tickets are sold at the automated machines. If you don't have enough coins, you can change at the counter. Unlike here, our "convenient" automated machines at Putra line stations required both coins and notes. No wonder TnG is so popular here.
*Bangkok's BTS railway is built on the third floor and it only travels on third floor.

The next day, we missed our hotel breakfast so Stanley and I ventured out hunting for local food. Had BBQ pork rice (very nice) and walk a bit, bought a sling bag from Robinson and take pictures.

Digi Yellow Man everywhere on Monday.

We left for Pattaya around 2pm with cab. The highway to south is amazing as it's built on 3rd or 4th floor so basically, it's higher than most shops and houses and we only back on ground as we exited Bangkok.

The trip was taking too long as it rained half way and the main street in Pattaya flooded, very much like a tsunami is striking. We also lost as the cab driver doesn't know where our hotel is and reluctant to ask the locals. I became more irritated when my friend told me he didn't have the hotel's phone number. How could someone booked the hotel without the phone number???

We finally found the hotel after we asked a travel agency. The ladies there been very helpful to us, they even drew out the directions!

Rain stopped and we went for dinner. Then, watch show again. *Yawns*

We came here. Choices are limited here in Pattaya.

Basically, Pattaya is boring. Plenty of girl bars cater for foreigners and not much thing to see or buy. But the music the played in the pubs and bars are nice, much better than Malaysia.

The next day... woke up at 5am something, pack everything and leave for airport. Flight at 9.25am. The cab driver drove like he's racing on the F1 circuit track. Managed to see the sun rise but failed to capture it. The driver drove too fast lah...

While Stanley was practically dozing (fishing we called it), I tried my best to stay awake by stalking those people at airport.

Bye bye Bangkok. Shall come again with my league of The Brotherhood.
Anyone interested?

Perhaps the best thing on the way home was stumbled upon Jonathan Cheng, a local fashion designer. He boarded the same plane as us. Argh... was busy admiring him, forgotten to take his picture. *bang head on wall*

I'm still lazy today. *yawns*
By the way... I only managed to get souvenirs for some of you guys only...
